Hundreds of thousands of people are fleeing Myanmar at alarming rates due to what the UN has declared the “most urgent refugee emergency in the world.” The vast majority of refugees are women, including mothers with children and newborn babies.

 

We believe in helping our communities - in both the Bay Area and in Myanmar - so in response, Burma Superstar Oakland, in partnership with Burma Superstar Alameda and Burma Love, will be matching donations up to $5,000 from October 15 - November 4, 2017. All funds raised will go to UNICEF USA, a non-profit dedicated to the provision of humanitarian aid to children in crisis.
