When Desmond Tan took over Burma Superstar in 2001, it was a way to maintain a source of his beloved mohinga. Today there is a diverse collection of restaurants and businesses supporting a tight-knit, diverse family who all share a love of hospitality and a belief that community is built around the table. Though our employees, many of whom have been with us since the beginning we continue to build a restaurant culture based on respect, teamwork, and warm hospitality.
From the Bay Area to Burma and back again, we believe in building our mutually
productive world with a strong set of clear community values that can transcend business and bring support to the communities that support us.
